I received a gold medal at the BISCOT (Botanical Images Scotia) botanical illustration exhibition, which took place at the Gardening Scotland Show at Ingliston, Edinburgh, from 31st May to 2nd June 2013. I exhibited eight of my paintings depicting Chilean plants from the forests of Chile, and also received the Mary Mendum Award, which was presented in recognition of my outstanding work. This is the second time I have received this prestigious award.
The BISCOT exhibition subsequently transferred to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, where it was on show in the Gateway until 20th June 2013. All the paintings I exhibited at this event were prepared for the book ‘Plants from the Woods and Forests of Chile’, and together they highlight the remarkable diversity of Chile’s plant life.
