The native range of this species is East, Central and Southeast of Türkiye to West Himalaya. I collected my specimen from the magnificent Munzur Valley, where it grows in abundance and blooms fully in early Spring. It was exhibited at my solo exhibition Habitat in Çamlıhemşin (2024), and is now part of the exhibition "In Bloom" at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford (March–August 2026).

This species is endemic to the Antalya region of Türkiye and is classified as endangered. I prepared this painting for "Haremlique", in collaboration with the Mediterranean Conservation Society, which was running a project to increase the population of this beautiful and rare orchid species in its natural habitat. It was later exhibited at my solo exhibition "Habitat" in Çamlıhemşin (2024).
